Residential architects who specialize in the hot, humid, southern climate

Vegas, Baby

We just returned to Beaufort from Builder's Week in Las Vegas. Builder's Week is the  Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builder's Show (IBS) combined this year for the first time. Here are a few of the trends we saw over and over at the show.

Organize It!

All the major kitchen and bath retailers had specialized organization for their bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets for easy access. While we rarely use pre-made cabinetry, these methods are great for custom cabinets too.

Accessibility in the Kitchen

Everything is getting easier to use. Dacor, Electrolux, Bosch & Viking all have slide out racks, able to hold your Thanksgiving Turkey, no problem. Proprietary cookie sheets that fit into the oven & a slot at the front, big enough for your oven mitt, set Dacor apart from the rest.

Pretty, Pretty Tile

While "Pretty" is not, strictly speaking, a trend, we sure do love tile here at Frederick + Frederick.
