Benjie Morillo, AIA

Project Architect

Benjie strives to push design boundaries when facing program and spatial challenges. An artist at heart, he excels in architectural visualization and is a valued collaborator. He follows in Michael’s artistic footsteps, creating lovely hand sketches and watercolors of our designs.

As Chair of the City of Beaufort Design Review Board, he promotes the development of walkability, sustainability, and diversity values. He looks at the world as a canvas, and understands the importance of realizing how small and interconnected we all are. “…it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.” is a favorite quote from Carl Sagan.

He graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2011. Benjie also draws and paints, makes just-for-fun music videos with his family, can stay upright on a paddleboard, and is currently restoring an old sailboat.
